1st decade of 2000s mainly about the war on terror. And China hosted the olympics I remember.

Yao Ming. Kobe Bryant. Shaq Attack.

What else? Brazil won the World Cup in 2004 I think it was. Maradona still alive. So was Nelson Mandela. Pope Benedict was the pope.

I was a bit religious then. Anyway, who talks about religion in 2025? Now it seems the divide between the elite and the masses have widened.

Terror? I think it has morphed now in many ways. Online hate is rampant. Extremism on the news is normal. Who would have thought that Trump would be really the president then?
